After renovating their new aquarium, The Toledo Zoo needed to revitalize an adjacent play area next to the building.  Graphite was brought aboard to redesign the entire space, as well as build the sculptures to fill it.  The area was designed to have a “wet” side complete with a spray park, and a “dry” side with slides, swings, and seating for families.  The zoo ended up with an island themed area filled with whales, a giant crab, pelicans, beach huts, and boats.  The Aquarium Adventure Trail brings a tropical feeling to Ohio for all zoo visitors and gives the younger crowd a destination to cool off and play during their hot summer zoo trips.
